Ms. Shapira's activities included: preliminary design, integration covering the interfaces between all research, operation, and design disciplines focusing on design criteria. She coordinated and directed facility design activities between ORNL and the subcontract A/E. Ms. Shapira conceived and built an extensive Building and Site Planning Requirement database. She conceived and directed the Maintenance and Operation Integration (MOI) group and the development of a design-integration tool ICL/MORRZ -interface checklist (maintenance, operation, research, and radiation zone database) as integration design tool of large-scale projects or facilities.
